- Color #1 - 2/3 yard
black fabric
- Color #2 - 3/4 yard
red fabric
- Color #3 1/3 yard
pale yellow fabric
- Color #4 3/4 yard
gold fabric
- Color #5 1/3 yard
bright blue

Quilt Assembly
Step 1. Use your Flying Geese
Units and your blue/gold Pinwheel blocks to make 4 star blocks.
You will need to use 4 background fabric 2-1/2" squares for
the corners of each of the 5 star blocks. See the assembly diagram
for the star block to sew them together.
Step 2. Alternate the 5 star
blocks with the 4 setting blocks to complete the body of the quilt
as shown in the diagram.
Step 3. Cut 2 strips of blue
1-1/2" x 24-1/2" and 2 strips 1-1/2" x 26-1/2".
Sew these to opposite sides then top and bottom of the quilt.
Step 4. Cut 2 strips of background
1-1/2" x 26-1/2" and 2 strips 1-1/2" x 28-1/2".
Sew these to opposide sides then top and bottom.
Step 5. Cut 2 strips of black
2-1/2" x 28-1/2" and 2 strips 2-1/2" x 32-1/2".
Sew to opposite sides then top and bottom of the quilt.
Step 6. Sew the red/gold Pinwheel
blocks into the borders. There are 2 strips with 8 Pinwheel blocks
and 2 strips with 10 Pinweel blocks. Sew to opposite sides of
the quilt top, then to the top and bottom to finish the quilt..
